My name is Peter Roise, and I was born to Douglas and Michelle Roise in Grand Forks, ND on July third, 1978. My parents are both Christians and endeavored to teach me the fear of the Lord. At age three, when we were attending a Baptist church in Grand Forks, I was persuaded by my mother to pray the sinner’s prayer and ask Jesus into my heart. I can barely remember this, so it is understandable that I can not remember a time when I did not consider myself a servant of Christ. I was later baptized at the age of eight in Bismarck at a Presbyterian church.
As I have grown, my family has also grown; today I am the oldest of eight children. Being the oldest meant that I was the guinea pig in the family. My parents started me out in a private school and then switched to home schooling; in highschool we also used a tutor for one year. After graduating highschool I went to New St. Andrews College and studied under Douglas Wilson, Douglas Jones, Christopher Schlect, Peter Leithart, Roy Atwood, Louis Schuller and John Schwandt. The opportunity to have studied at this college is one for which I am very grateful. These professors teach truth, goodness, and beauty, and they give God the glory in all. This year (2005) I will (when I finish the second year reading, Lord willing) begin my third year Greyfriars Ministerial Study Hall in the Divinity track.
As of November 25, 2000, I am a married man. Claire and I thank God for each other and are convinced that we work even better together than we did apart. Like myself, Claire was homeschooled and shares with me a voracious love of books. In the past she has worked in customer relations with her father’s business, but she says she finds being a wife and mother both more challenging and more rewarding. She can spell and punctuate better than I, but otherwise finds me intellectually stimulating.
December 14, 2001 Ingrid Renee Roise was born. She is a lovely little girl, who likes to cover amost anything–whether it is celery with a napkin, or a doll with a jacket–with a blanket and “put it to bed.”
June 19, 2003 Lewis Christian Roise was born. He is very busy learning to talk and climb. We are busy trying to stay ahead of him.
April 5, 2005 Michelle Suzanne Roise was born, and is a beautiful and sweet baby. She’s prone to panic at delays in feeding, but is otherwise happy and sociable.
March 13, 2007 Claire Simone Roise was added to our family, and she is a sweet tempered chubby baby, with blue eyes and her uncle Christian’s nose.

RESUME
Teaching Experience: I have taught internet tutorials for nine years now and am embarking upon my tenth year. The experience has been invaluable. I enjoy teaching, and the internet provides a great way to do that, even during the past years when I was not permanently settled in one area. I have on occasion taught in a traditional classroom situation, but the majority of my teaching experience has been online.
My Education: I was homeschooled through most of grade school and highschool. I graduated Cum Laude on May 10th, 2000 from New St. Andrew’s College in Moscow, Idaho, with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture. I am now in ministerial training with Greyfriars Hall, also in Moscow, Idaho.
